Welcome

Hey there! I am so excited to welcome you to the first official blog post of Sally Fraser Wellness! Natural health and wellness have been my passions for a long time and I am grateful for the opportunity to share thoughts, ideas, inspirations and all things healthy... with you!

Some of you may be new to the world of natural health and are excited to learn about alternatives to conventional treatments, learn wellness practices, discover how to use essential oils etc. Some of you may already be wellness junkies like me and are ready to geek out discussing the gut microbiome, leaky gut cures, or bone broth recipes! Wherever you are in your health journey, I am so glad you are here.

One of the things that excites me the most about natural health/wellness is this idea - We are all our own unique, living science experiments! How you choose to treat your body, mind and spirit is up to you and the outcomes you experience will be directly related to your actions. We have so much influence over our well being and it is exciting to realize the potential this creates for us. If you currently struggle with chronic health issues, I have great news for you, you have much control over resolving those issues and that Is exciting!

Your first step - Be Empowered! You become empowered by taking an active role in the discovery process. Discover, through reading, listening to podcasts, online seminars, asking questions (ask me!). Discover what those chronic symptoms really mean. Realize that your symptoms are a smoke signal from your body telling you “Hey, we have a problem here, your attention is needed in the digestion aisle.” Wherever your symptoms are occurring, these smoke signals are letting you know there is a root problem, the fire, that needs to be addressed. Our modern healthcare model and its good buddy the pharmaceutical industry, love to hand out band aids, ie. prescription medicine, for all the symptoms we experience today. To live a healthy, vibrant life you need a permanent solution for the root cause of your symptoms!

Your second step - Take Action! You have control over your diet, over your lifestyle, over your schedule, don’t give this control away or even worse, ignore the impact this control can have on your health. If you suffer from digestion issues, guess what? Your diet plays a role in those issues and YOU have the power to change that. SKIN issues, guess what? Your diet plays a role and YOU have the power to change that! Sounds like a broken record? The point is - your body can return to amazing levels of wellness and you are in control of allowing this or preventing this by the choices and actions you take! This is exciting!

Your third step - Believe in Yourself! Trust your Body! As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, we are all our own science experiments. Our bodies are truly amazing and when given the opportunity, they will thrive with good health! Each of us comes ready made with repair systems, rebuild systems, immune systems to fight off infections, etc. These systems just need proper care and maintenance (nutrition, sleep, stress management etc.) to function as they should. Believe that you can learn exactly what your body needs and trust that your body can manage after that! This is where Sally Fraser Wellness comes in. I am here to be a helping hand, your guide to the world of natural health and wellness. You can create and live in optimal health….and I’ve got your back!
